7th & Spring

(vintage dress, Cynthia Rowley boots,  Ray Ban sunglasses)

During my trip out West, I alway make a visit to one of my old friends and stay for a few days to catch up! She just recently moved into a new loft space and I love the set up! Very downtown NYC vibes!! LA is really starting to gentrify, especially around my old stomping grounds in DTLA (where her space is as well). I will always have a soft spot for this neighborhood. So many great things to take part in. On another note, It's been warm my entire trip, so I haven't made much use of my latest winter purchases. But I love this vintage piece I found in her closet. Paired it with my new boots & uniformed black sunglasses (this pair I picked until I buy my new perfect pair which i'm on the prowl for).. This is a sleek & simple look for daytime. The beadwork on this dress is in great condition and it has a bohemian-ish vibe with the bell sleeve and peasant neckline. Kept the hair natural and pinned back.

Starting a mental prep check list for my trip next week back to NYC - time for NYFW again, this time the A/W 14' collections. I've got a full schedule of shows & parties.

**And I will actually be also be collaborating/hosting a shopping party with Sigerson Morrison in the next few weeks, so if you're in the NYC area - stay tuned!

Black Sabbath

 (Kenneth Cole Bar-Der bag)

For the first time in ages I went to a mall while I was in Dallas last week to do a little post-NYE sale binging. It's was so weird being in a concentrated area of stores instead of window shopping boutiques in NY or LA like i've done the last 8 years! I found this great bag at Kenneth Cole! It kind of reminds me of some kind of lunch box turned cross body bag in buttery lambskin leather with a detachable strap, and it's purrrrrfect! I've been wearing it non-stop since I bought it.

Pre fashion week additions to the closet!

Breaking Barriers

(Miu Miu sunglasses, The Row blazer, Satya chain)

I rarely purchase sunglasses. It's a necessity that I never consider needing. Yet, I'm always expecting to find a perfect pair somewhere in my bag, even though I never seek out to buy new frames. I'm also pretty boring when it comes to style for that matter..I like sleek + black- and thats about it. But i'm finally breaking the barrier and buying something a little more out of the box to steer away from the drab of all black everything. Slowly reintroducing myself to color has been fun, but definitely a work in progress.

The Miu Miu marble effect? I'm into it.

Definitely a constant in my closet for Spring!

Mad for Plaid

(Theory bomber, Zara hat + clutch + pants, Cynthia Rowley booties)

Lets get straight to the point!
I'm kind of in love with these tartan pants I scored at Zara while in NYC last month.
Very reminiscent of my current fashion vibes

80's hair metal plaids + zipper detailing + chain mail leather + city boots

2014: Self Evolution

(outfit details in next post)

HAPPY 2014!

So good to be in Texas, ringing in the new year with all my closest friends and family for the holidays! With the new year, i'll be bringing on tons of new stuff for the blog. Can't wait to see what i'll come across in the next 365 days in terms of my career with fashion. It's slowly but surely falling into place!

Headed to LA next week - dreaming of silky separates and open toed sandals.
But for now this plaid + bomber look is really doing it for me.

New Year
New Start
New Day
New Life
