I'm back!!!!!
Bringing you Me-Aww-Me in 4 photos! :)

I've been out of the blogosphere for a month traveling on a spiritual sabbatical through Texas, California, & NY. I was barely back for a few days before a whirlwind trip to Miami! Just got home and i'm already missing the salty air, endless Cuban food, and beautiful sunsets!

My week consisted of:
Breakfast
Beach
Lunch
Beach
Dinner
Party Hop in South Beach
(repeat x5)

It was quite a relaxing trip in one of my favorite cities! I didn't take many photos while I was there, but if you keep up with me on IG @crimesoffashion (I post my daily rants, inspirations, and stylings) theres footage of my trip via photos!

Can't wait to go back!

Garden Party

(Zara blazer, Theory skirt, Vintage top, Brixton hat, YSL sandals, Acne bag)

I'm ecstatic that another winter is behind us. My mind is in overload for spring, so I've already started experimenting within my closet, also incorporating recent purchases! Spent my last weekend in Dallas, in Uptown having lunch and frolicking with friends! This was the perfect outfit! I'm one to change a few time a day, and this one lasted til after dinner. Landed this Brixton beauty, Theory leather skirt, and vintage top while I was there! I love unexpected great finds!

What are you spring must haves?
I'm already editing and shopping for the new season out here in LA!
COACHELLA is next weekend, so of course it's on!
I'll have my festival favorites posted in the next few days--

Spring 2014

Happy Equinox blog-o-sphere!

I'm BACK and blonder then ever with my new look! :)

Spring is a time of re-birth. You can shed that winter skin and embrace the new you thats been hibernating for months! So in lieu of that, I cut off a few inches for the upcoming season and got a balayage treatment to soften my highlights before summer!

I've been all over the country the last 6 weeks and I can't wait to share it with you. I haven't updated in a month due to computer/camera difficulties and i'm also redeveloping my blog and it's endeavors, so my apologies to my loyal readers from all over. Expect tons of new content beginning now!

Starting with my latest accessory purchase, the Prada "Poeme" sunglasses. I instantly fell in love with them when I saw them on the runway during MFW. I love the shape, and I think we can all agree a basic matte black frame for day to day is necessary in anyones wardrobe!

Night Walker

(H&M Paris Collection patent vest, BCBG Max Azria trousers, 3.1 Phillip Lim Lynus clutch, Helen Kaminski Yesadi hat)

Still heavily dependent on my chic outer layers to brave the elements of NYC's impossible weather woes. Whoever said trying to be fashionable in the dead of winter was easy, never managed it here..So i've been pairing my favorite piece of outerwear from the latest H&M Paris Collection with an abundance of looks since I got back to the city. Kept it very bohemian and true to me with the wide leg color block pants from BCBG and my newest hat I picked up out West! Also, getting more conventional wear with my 3.1PL runway bag from last season, I had barely worn it at all before a few months ago and it will killing me!

PS: Sorry for the lack of update the last few weeks! I went straight from post NYFW hibernations to vacation mode, and i'm just now getting to my photos from the FW14 shows and some of my latest outfits!

Tons of new content coming ASAP!

Solid Seperates

( Vince top, Zara midi, C Rowley boots, Acne Laurie bag, Prada Poeme sunglasses, vintage vest)

Photo:Amelia Strauss

This is a more in detail look from my previous post teaser look while in LA. I was amazed by how on point the weather was the entire trip. I could wear basically anything in my wardrobe +/- a few extras without overly thinking it, and always made use of my coats as an added layer at night. Most of this outfit were purchases from LA minus the boots and vest (which you've seen in other posts). I didn't want to over dramatize any of the solids, so I kept it minimal on the jewelry game.

PS: If you hadn't already noticed this bag is EVERYTHING! It's from the Acne Studios SS14 collection - on that note, if you haven't visited the Swedish houses largest new installation store in DTLA, you are definitely MISSING out! I highly recommend a visit. (Located on 9th & Broadway in the Theatre District)

Petite Proportions

 (details coming in next post)

While in LA, I was on the quest to find a few preliminary NYFW wardrobe essential updates to give my closet a new spin for the upcoming shows! While I didn't find everything I was in search of, I did fall for this pint sized piece of perfection (among other things) at the new Acne Studios space at the Eastern Columbia in downtown! Something about a mixed combination of tassles, hard leather, and shape make this a great addition to my closet.

I'll be doing a few more informal posts featuring some of my recent purchases in the mix of all my fashion week coverage. I'm flying back in a few hours amidst the latest snowstorm in hopes of safe travel and a smooth flight!

7th & Spring

(vintage dress, Cynthia Rowley boots,  Ray Ban sunglasses)

During my trip out West, I alway make a visit to one of my old friends and stay for a few days to catch up! She just recently moved into a new loft space and I love the set up! Very downtown NYC vibes!! LA is really starting to gentrify, especially around my old stomping grounds in DTLA (where her space is as well). I will always have a soft spot for this neighborhood. So many great things to take part in. On another note, It's been warm my entire trip, so I haven't made much use of my latest winter purchases. But I love this vintage piece I found in her closet. Paired it with my new boots & uniformed black sunglasses (this pair I picked until I buy my new perfect pair which i'm on the prowl for).. This is a sleek & simple look for daytime. The beadwork on this dress is in great condition and it has a bohemian-ish vibe with the bell sleeve and peasant neckline. Kept the hair natural and pinned back.

Starting a mental prep check list for my trip next week back to NYC - time for NYFW again, this time the A/W 14' collections. I've got a full schedule of shows & parties.

**And I will actually be also be collaborating/hosting a shopping party with Sigerson Morrison in the next few weeks, so if you're in the NYC area - stay tuned!

Black Sabbath

 (Kenneth Cole Bar-Der bag)

For the first time in ages I went to a mall while I was in Dallas last week to do a little post-NYE sale binging. It's was so weird being in a concentrated area of stores instead of window shopping boutiques in NY or LA like i've done the last 8 years! I found this great bag at Kenneth Cole! It kind of reminds me of some kind of lunch box turned cross body bag in buttery lambskin leather with a detachable strap, and it's purrrrrfect! I've been wearing it non-stop since I bought it.

Pre fashion week additions to the closet!

Breaking Barriers

(Miu Miu sunglasses, The Row blazer, Satya chain)

I rarely purchase sunglasses. It's a necessity that I never consider needing. Yet, I'm always expecting to find a perfect pair somewhere in my bag, even though I never seek out to buy new frames. I'm also pretty boring when it comes to style for that matter..I like sleek + black- and thats about it. But i'm finally breaking the barrier and buying something a little more out of the box to steer away from the drab of all black everything. Slowly reintroducing myself to color has been fun, but definitely a work in progress.

The Miu Miu marble effect? I'm into it.

Definitely a constant in my closet for Spring!

Mad for Plaid

(Theory bomber, Zara hat + clutch + pants, Cynthia Rowley booties)

Lets get straight to the point!
I'm kind of in love with these tartan pants I scored at Zara while in NYC last month.
Very reminiscent of my current fashion vibes

80's hair metal plaids + zipper detailing + chain mail leather + city boots

2014: Self Evolution

(outfit details in next post)

HAPPY 2014!

So good to be in Texas, ringing in the new year with all my closest friends and family for the holidays! With the new year, i'll be bringing on tons of new stuff for the blog. Can't wait to see what i'll come across in the next 365 days in terms of my career with fashion. It's slowly but surely falling into place!

Headed to LA next week - dreaming of silky separates and open toed sandals.
But for now this plaid + bomber look is really doing it for me.

New Year
New Start
New Day
New Life
