Shedding the layers

(Wearing: Alexander Wang crop, Zara skirt & boots, Beirn wallet, HoH x Le Spec sunglasses)

It's finally warming up on the East coast, so I decided to do a second take on a great winter look I pulled during fashion week featuring this skirt/jacket combo minus all the extra layering because it was so cold. Final result? A clean approach on hard lines and defined shapes for spring, but I prefer it this way so much more. It's quick & to the point, but still edgy enough to catch a fashionable eye.

PS: I know these boots have been whored out on this site since the day I bought them. But I can't get over the "cowboy meets the street" shape and style of them that's keeping me coming back for more.

PSS: How this got paired with my Zenon 2020 space look up top is still in question.. :$
Thats the fun part about my personal style, sometimes there just aren't answers.

Dreamin' of Dip Dye

Crimes of Fashion x Target Spring 2013
(Wearing: gifted Mossimo "Dip Dye" skinny jeans, HH x Le Spec sunglasses, Marc Jacobs clutch, Zara shoes, OAK beanie, vintage jacket &shirt)

Spring is a time of rebirth. A shedding of your winter skin, revealing new elements to the outside world. These pants embody my awakening through an array of pastel colors. I love this dip dye print...it's very reminiscent of summer days in my backyard as a kid. I've made these a quite a staple in  some of my latest spring looks.  I chose these from the collection because they represent my vibrant, funky, free spirited personality. Target perfects some of the hottest runway trends, by putting their personal spin on it, and making it available to a mass market scale. It's what makes the brand prim & practical for all different types of fashionistas. Everyone deserves to look fabulous on any budget!

Check out what pieces some of my fellow bloggers at AOL wore from the collaboration here

The spring collection at Target is now available in stores nationwide!

Tribal Effect

photos + polaroids by Prince Puja
(Wearing: Vivienne Tam top, Zara pumps, H&M hat, vintage leather jacket & skirt, all PUJA jewelry)

First and foremost, Happy St. Patrick's Day from NY
Be sure to drink lots of clover beer and don't be too green with envy over this skirt I randomly scored for almost nothing (literally $5) on my last trip out West! Nice balance of pleats & color-blocking...which are both necessary for the upcoming seasonal change. I'm taking advantage of this nice afternoon, since right now this option isn't acceptable every day. But, now that spring is around the corner (regardless of what Mother Nature says), it's time for another CLOSET CLEANSE

I'm scoping my wardrobe for pastels, light, airy fabrics, shorter hemlines, and officially on the hunt for the perfect linen coat (since unfortunately the Burberry Prorsum metallic trench is WAY out of my budget). What are your must haves for SS13? I personally can't wait to nab a pair of the Prada bejeweled cat eyes i've been drooling over since I saw the ad campaigns a few months back. Rather i'm in LA, NY, or abroad, sunglasses are a NEED, not a WANT. My addiction for clothes, shoes, & accessories has officially moved onto eyewear.

I pre-apologize to my bank account NOW for all the harm I may cause this year!

Play time with Puja

(photos & polaroids by Prince Puja)

Wearing:
Look 1: Zara button up, palazzo pant, & ankle pump, vintage jacket & choker, all PUJA jewelry
Look 2: Oak torque, All Saints leather shorts, Zara pumps, Rag & Bone beanie, all PUJA jewelry

Last time I was in LA, I stopped by the Palace in Little Tokyo to see my long time friend Josh and shoot some photos for his jewelry line. I threw a few fun looks together, while we took polaroids, sipped wine, and caught up on the times. It was so refreshing to see him & meet his bf David (who does amazing sketch art on just about everything)! Being surrounded with creative influences in your life drives you to achieve more success within your own boundaries. Can't wait to do a part 2 next time i'm in LA. Thanks you both for the good times!

PS: if you're interested in any of the PUJA pieces, you can buy them here!
Also, check out his full zine featuring me here

SoHo styles

Photos by John Waddington
(Wearing: Vintage jacket, 3.1 Phillip Lim chiffon shirt, Zara tuxedo pants & shoes, Alexander Wang bag, Beirn wallet, House of Harlow sunglasses)

Snapped these photos earlier this week on a cloudy Friday afternoon while shopping in SoHo. Wearing one of my formulated quickie outfits for when i'm out the door on the go with not much time to spare.. You can never go wrong with a black fitted pant + leather moto jacket mash up. Highlight it with a nice colored top underneath (my choice, which i'm in love with, is a chiffon button up from 3.1 Phillip Lim, similar here & here). It's so comfy, and looks so chic for day or night. Throw a few accessories on to hide any evidence of getting ready in 10 minutes! WINNING.

Details from the front row at Ohne Titel

These are some of my favorite shots I took from my seat at the designers latest FW2013 show at Milk Studios!

Ohne Titel never fails with me..he always manages to present a cohesive WEARABLE collections that push the folds without overdoing it, making it approachable, but also taking womenswear far enough in an articulate direction to make it this powerful new antidote every season!! He showcased a beautiful array of geometric printed dresses, jackets, pants, & overcoats. I especially loved the 3D cube pant & top number with the (correct me if i'm wrong) white quilted leather ear-muffs????

SO AMAZING!!!
It's like a Chanel bag for your head...GENIUS!

Another useless accessory for us fashion addicts to invest in...I LOVE IT.

These were my favorite collections (in no particular order) during Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013 season!

Besides these top 10, I also loved Blumarine, Alberta Ferretti, Versace, Jil Sander, Francesco Scognamiglio, Bottega Veneta, Bally, Gianfranco Ferre & Aquilano. Rimondi. The ultimate glamour that the Italians bring wasn't in full force this weekend, but I still appreciate some of the beautiful collections to date! On a personal note, Dolce & Gabbana is really hitting hard with this ancient Roman bella look! I'm completely obsessed. It makes me wanna hop in a gondola and sail thru Venice wearing lots of gold and jewels and this entire collection! ;)
