I can't stand the rain

( Wearing: Alexander Wang blazer, Zara shorts, Dr Marten boot, & thrifted shirt)

Even on the cloudiest of days in NYC, I can't help but let my energy overpower my wardrobe and do the thinking for me. I'm sure you've seen me post with this shirt a few times here. It's funny how you can spend hundreds on that key piece you end up wearing 3 times, yet your $5 bargain thrifts last a lifetime. I could have a million peter pan collar shirts of all different prints and would never grow tired of them. Perfect for a lazy day in a backyard in Brooklyn. This is my favorite time of year, all the leaves are still in full bloom and will soon start falling. Its awesome observing the transition of foliage overtime. It's a slow, beautiful process.

Uncharted Territory

(Wearing: Alexander Wang crop top and tunic and thrifted necklace)

I originally just packed a bag full of random mix/matches to go upstate for the day, but instead took camera advantage of these panoramic views up in the mountains. When we were laying out on the shore of this natural pond, I thought this was an ideal backdrop for this outfit. The material is so light and airy, so it molded beautifully against the serene background. For the first time ever, I was wading through foreign waters in high end ready to wear to get the right photo! When I went to Wang's sample sale last season, these two pieces were bunched up in a sale box bin at the very bottom, but once I pulled them out and put them together, it was a dead on match! #fashionfate

I could live in his clothes all day long.
They are always the satisfaction I expect in my wardrobe.
Now i'm back in NYC, and it's almost time to pull out my fall knits
I'll add more later, i'm off to soho!

Free Bird // 2

(Wearing: DIY distressed shorts, Dr Marten boots, Ann Demeulemeester shirt tie, Zara blazer, Fitted 50 cap, and vintage tee + bullet necklace)

Sunset at Knapp's Castle is definitely one of my favorite memories while in California. Like I said before, it's a day ritual with all my close friends when I jump coasts to come visit. And as per usual, it never disappoints! A perfect combination of clouds and sun make for an ideal evening show over the Santa Ynez mountains. Take me back in...3, 2, 1.

Crimes of Fashion x DOT x Marc Jacobs

DOT is
sweet, yet mysterious.
Dark, but elegant.
Vibrant and beautiful.

In my latest integration with my team over at AOL StyleList, we collaborated with Marc Jacobs on the latest Fall perfume! They sent me a bottle of it to get inspired and create a mini mood board. Check out the full DOT experience here

Free Bird

(Photos by Lindsay Cozart)

I spent a magical day in Santa Barbara last week before departing back to NYC. My friends and I have this "traditional" routine we do every time I visit LA which consists of an intense, yet amazingly crammed day of R&R at the beach, sandwiches at Three Pickles, hiking the Santa Ynez mountains, floating in a natural spring drinking cheap champagne, and we must not forget the ALWAYS unforgettable sunset at our secret spot nestled in the foothills. Pretty perfect day if you ask me. The weather couldn't be beat, and we took advantage of the golden sunlight that was cascading upon us all day! When i'm immersed within nature, I highlight the fact that I may possibly understand the feeling Lynard Skynard is describing in "Free Bird".(floating)

On a further note, I had to mention these mysterious trees. I could of sat there looking at their twisted roots for hours. So fascinating the history and physical changes they've seen over time. If only these trees could talk..(I had a Pocahontas moment bonding with "Mother Willow" while I was sitting against the trunk looking out into the pasture.) All I needed was a glass of ice cold lemonade and a book and I'd be set.

NYFW HIGHLIGHTS: Top Ten

As much as I enjoy browsing through photos of all the best collections on Style.com, I find it much more visually pleasing to watch the shows via video.

Not only does it give you a better interpretation of the entire atmosphere, it puts everything into retrospect by shedding a completely different light on the clothes. It's your own front row seat to the fashion elite.

So clear your mind, and take a look at some of my favorites from SS13 thus far (in no particular order)!

#1: Proenza Schouler

#2: Alexander Wang

#3: Reed Krakoff

#4: Jason Wu

#5: Sally LaPointe

#6: Rag & Bone

#7: Prabal Gurung

#8: Marc Jacobs

#9: Donna Karan/DKNY

#10: Calvin Klein

++++ Even though it's not really my personal style, I still swooned over Oscar De La Renta, Marchesa, and Ralph Lauren to the fullest. They all are connected by elegance. They identify with a classic woman (bold, emotional, and chic) throughout their collections. Need I say more?

How can anyone ever attest such beautiful creations?

Not to mention other designers such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Theysken's Theory, HONOR, Cushnie Et Ochs, Ostwald Hegalson, Richard Chai, Peter Som, BCBG, etc (who all killed in for Spring as well)!

There is too much talent in the industry these days to keep up!!!!

Currently on overload.
Up next London Fashion Week!

MAJOR MOMENTS: Alexander Wang SS13

(photos via Style)

It's official, yet another NYFW came to close earlier this week...and the main buzz everyone was talking about had to be the epic Alexander Wang SS13 show, of course! There were so many great collections this season, but nothing topped this for me!

Raving Galactica warrior goddess,
meets Blade Runnin' sporty spice?

Well, something like that! He said he started with what he knows, which is American sportswear, and began experimenting with cutting edge techniques including redefining a fishing line to give his garments a "floating" effect! He called it TRON, I called it EVERYTHING

Last but not least, at the end of the show all of the white monochromatic looks stepped out for their final moments...as the lights dimmed, the garments came alive as the GLOW IN THE DARK tinted fabric wowed the crowds. Is the next trend for fashion houses gonna be black light effect? Up in the club?
YES!

And whats A Wang with out ACCESSORIES
Cut out bandage boots, clutched fishnet carry alls, and harness heels galore!

Don't let me tell you everything, check out the full show below!

Hoppin' on my first class flight to the future!

Take a walk down Oak Street

(Wearing: American Apparel silk blouse & shorts, Minimarket boots, A Wang wristlet, & vintage cap)

The weather has been so perfect in LA. Even more perfect on good ol' Oak St in Venice Beach. The trees here remind me of the picture perfect Whysteria Lane. Add a few of my casual mashups that have been entertaining and quite comfortable, so i'm pleased with the results! :) This combo almost reminds me of a pajama set I'd wear when I was a kid. Bed chic, I guess! About to board my flight back to NYC. Kinda heartbroken i'm leaving the BEST coast. It's been such an amazing trip. I'm coming back very soon!

Back in the land of LALA

(Wearing: H&M shirt, Zara shorts, Minimarket boots, Coach sunglasses, Mint hat)

Finally back in LA after a way long overdue visit. Just landed from Dallas and i've already fallen BACK in love with the best coast. The weather is perfect and I couldn't ask for a better start to the weekend! I've decided to skip out on NYFW for the first time in 4 seasons. Just needed a little time for myself.

Life is pretty perfect right now.
Always remember: Everything is infinite within your own life!
