PAPER MAGAZINE PARTY: THE BEAUTIFUL ISSUE!

Last Thursday I attended the annual Paper Magazine "Beautiful People Issue" party. It was held at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood. I was surprised at the amount of people that turned out. A few eye candies but mostly just fashion followers, makers, a few key celebs, and lots of insiders. H&M sponsored the event and held a nice little pre evening party. Also went to the VIP darkside lounge upstairs where I met Lady Tigra, i'm totally obsessed with her! I loved it! Here's some photos of the event and what I chose to wear:

Vintage Motorcycle Jacket, Howl Tank Top, Miu Miu fitted cargo pants, We Who See suede wedges, Posso turquoise ankle spats and matching cuff, NARS makeup

There were a lot of cool people to meet there and plenty of connections to be made! Thats why I love Hollywood, the potentials can be endless if you have the drive and are in the right place to make a move.

Met the editor of LA Weekly and was featured in last Friday's issue with a few friends

Afterwards we went to another continued party at Drai's Rooftop at the new W Hollywood hotel.

We also went to MyHouse that night to see our good friends ML & V from Posso spin, and then went to see more friends at Fubar! It was nice to have a full fledged night out since i've been a bit of a homebody lately!

My little group of my very close friends I was with all night!

and last but not least seeing Magdalena @ Fubar..

I've been really wrapped up with the late 80's/early 90's campaigns of Gianni Versace lately. I'm really triggering a 90's inspired feel for summer this year. I'm loving acid wash, denim, shoulder pads, and lots of print and colors. I really wish Gianni was still creating, he really was the voice of that label. I praise his contribution to the fashion world..

I love how he wasn't afraid to use color and print in most of his designs. I myself am not one to ever be simple. I always like color and print in what i'm wearing. It's just the way i've always been.

late 1980's campaign. I'm loving statement hats right now as well, I just bought an amazing hat down in the fashion district of LA. So simple and chic for summer. It's all black with a huge bill. I'm glad i'll have something to keep the constant California sun out of my eyes this summer.

That's all for now! Just finished a 2 day shoot with Ryan Burke and am so excited to get the final edits back! I really enjoyed the shoot. It took place in a historical building in the Old Bank District of downtown! Until next time..

NYLON'S YOUNG HOLLYWOOD ISSUE PARTY 05.12.10

Last Wednesday evening I attended the annual Young Hollywood issue release party for Nylon Magazine. It was held at The Roosevelt hotel in Hollywood. I was really happy to be able to go with my close friends and other friend Peaches Geldof, who was being recognized at the dinner for the magazine. It was such an amazing time! I got to meet so many people and really felt the young hollywood vibe had made it's point. There was so much fashion all over the place. Stacked stilettos, tiny frocks, designer bags, and plenty of celebrity eye candy to go around! Here are some photos from the event:

This was my outfit I wore. I was going for a young, dark, fashion forward but still classy look. It really came together towards the end. One of the oldest rules in the book, wear black to stay chic.

(Helmut Lang bodycon top, Zara equestrian pants, We Who See black wedge boots, American Apparel hooded cape, vintage jewelry, NARS eye makeup)

CHANEL RESORT 2011

I watched the newest resort collection for Chanel today! I definitely wasn't loving it, but there was a few looks I pulled that I really was intrigued by! Even for a resort collection! I'm loving the cut-outs. I wish Lagerfeld would pull away from the "Parisian chic mother" for just a moment and focusing on edging up Chanel a bit more. It's happened in the past, and when it does I FALL IN LOVE.

I'm so in love with netted sleeves! and the matching drapery over the pants. The choice of color gives me that care-free resort feel. So I guess he accomplished something with it.

I wish he would of emphasized more on producing looks like these, instead of the same safe play he always does at Chanel with all the other looks.

It's all about the fabrics for me in this collection!

I'm really into this one piece mini dress! So chic!

Chanel isn't complete without Coco Rocha making her appearance! Love her!

I was featured on HiStyley.com again the other day. It's the 2nd time I've been on her site! I really enjoy EvaLotta's fashion perspective and eye for good fashion!
Check her website out here! (www.histyley.com) It's a Los Angeles based street style documentary. I want to do a shoot with her personally soon, so it's all in the works!

I recently went to a casting call for a Spanish lifestyle magazine with her, so i'll hopefully know more about it when it's closer to happening! I hope I land the job!

I'm attending the NYLON magazine party tomorrow night, and then another photoshoot with Ryan Burke this weekend. We're doing a 10 look fashion editorial and i'm styling it completely. I love working with passionate people and he's definitely one of them.

I'll definitely be posting a lot more coming up soon! I'm in the process of getting a better camera for my photos and we'll have my hands on a new digital nikon very soon!

Check me out on Lookbook.nu!
new look posted!
