Chain Mail

(C by Cynthia Rowley Banks booties + Zara chain mail clutch)

These are the two new lust-worthy obsession accessories I've added to my closet! I got the shoes for Christmas from my family and picked up the bag on a quick routine stroll through my favorite Zara on 5th ave in the city. It's very Saint Laurent meets Chanel with the chain accents on a sleek leather pouch (which also included a detachable strap you can take on & off for various looks). Both pieces are versatile and fabulous. Be on the look out for them in future posts!

Home for the Holidays

(Theory bomber, All Saints Lucille skirt, Zara clutch + pumps, vintage headband)

I took a brief break this month from blogging due to a technology meltdown with my computer/camera. Luckily it came at perfect timing of my birthday & the holidays, so I got to be worry free and not thinking about blogging/work/reality for a few weeks. It always nice to take a breather, especially to gain a fresh perspective on what my goals are for CRIMES OF FASHION next year! I put this little number together for dinner with my family. The weather has been unpredictable in Texas since I got here. Shorts & crops one day, coats & pants the next. Crazy! But I took advantage of the mild in-between afternoon. I love pairing this Theory quilted bomber (that I got for a steal of a price at Nordstrom a few weeks ago if I might add) on top of a very clean outfit accenting some of my favorite tones for fall - oxblood, black, and ash grey.

Headed to LA from here right after NYE! Cant wait for a little West coast living again.

I hope everyone has a safe & happy New Year!!!
Everything is infinite, so focus on your visions and make them a reality in 2014!

Saturday in Central Park

( Zara leather + skirt, OAK crop, H&M hat, Calvin Klein Isabella boots, Helmut Lang bag)

I'm out the door so i'll write more on this in a bit, just wanted to share a few photos of one of my current weekend look while hanging out in the city. It's finally turned frigid for the next 4 months, but we caught a sunny day out of nowhere and i'm definitely taking full advantage, hence my growing obsession for crop tops of every kind - This ribbed favorite of mine from OAK in NYC is so versatile!!! Rediscovered it in a box of clothes from last year and can't get over it, hence my last few outfit posts!
My 24th birthday is around the corner and i'm making a mental bucket list for 2014 and all the accomplishments I want/need in my life! Counting down the days til my trip to LA next week! Cant wait for sun, surf, and sand in mid December!!!!

Dim the Lights

(Topshop suit set, vintage jacket+sunglasses, Rebecca Minkoff bag, Zara boots)

When looking to invest an efficient day bag, I find it to become harder and harder as I get older. I'm always in search of the perfect style, even though I don't know what that is til' I come across it in awe! I was browsing Nordstrom during their latest half yearly sale and walked past this Rebecca Minkoff bag (which may or may not have intended for this to be a baby bag), but something drew me to it. I like the messenger-ish shape- it's super roomy which is a plus, and the perforated leather + stud detailing gives it a nice edge. Wearing it with a combination of two different suit sets from Topshop. They're becoming super addicting, because it's an easy option that always turns out amazing! Also layering with a sick $25 lambskin gilet I scored at No Relation in the East Village a few days back! Love cheap, unexpected finds!

Off Geary & Polk

(J Brand denim/leather skinnies, OAK turtleneck, Tripp NYC moto jacket, Massimo Dutti boots)

If you're going to San Francisco...bee sure to wear your favorite leather and everyday denim to this idyllic city up North! Spent a few days there catching up with childhood friends while in California a few weeks back. Haven't been in almost 4 years, which is incredibly too long. I fell in love with the winding streets and free spirited population all over again. I'm missing those endless summer days, and chilly nights right about now in NY. Anyways, I'm wearing this rad jacket I picked up at Pat Fields last year and never got around to wearing. It's all of a sudden a favorite staple in my closet. Funny how that happens sometimes. My chameleon style in constantly looking for revamp from my past. Another great piece in my closet right now are these J Brand jeans! I love that you can take off the leather pieces and have the perfect cropped skinnies for day time frolicking!

A must have for sure!

Can you believe it's already December? This year has flown by, but i'm so thankful for all the opportunities and travel moments I've had. Wouldn't trade those in for the world. I want a life full of vivid memories and incredible adventures of my past.

Take it to the streets

( J Brand denim, Massimo Dutti boots (similar here), Tripp NYC moto jacket )

I think I may have finally came across the holy mother of grail in my J Brand jeans addiction. Added another sweet pair to the collection - the leather zip off cuffs turn these amazing skinnies into a covetable pair of chic-ish clam diggers as my mother would call them. Way more versatile in person then i'm probably describing them!

Glimmering Lights

(vintage lambskin coat, Zara skirt, YSL shoes)

What can I say about LA?
Besides being one of my favorite places to travel to for it's endless sunshine, incredible shopping, amazing beaches, palm tree lined streets, and picture perfect scenery. In the 5 years I lived there I never made it up to Griffith Observatory at sunset. So glad I finally did - it was a beautiful backdrop for this look. I figured it deemed best fit for the first of many pairs of YSL's i'll be collecting. Starting with this coat - it's great for fall. I love how big it is..definitely a statement piece, for sure. And as for finding the perfect evening sandal for a night like this, I left that up to Mr. Palati. I love the criss cross satin straps - so feminine, yet structural. You may take out the Yves, but clean lines are here to stay for Saint Laurent!

It ain't Saint Laurent without Yves!

Welcoming the newest introduction to my shoe closet!

I'm all about investing in the classics and this is my first pair of YSL's. I've dreamed about this day for a long time and it's finally here!

NEW OUTFIT POST featuring these, coming tomorrow!

Casual Dates at Elysian Park

( Thrifted top + backpack, AA skirt, 3.1 Phillip Lim sunglasses, Zara boots)

This look was in relation to an accessory post I made a few weeks back. I stayed near this hideaway park while I was in LA and fell head-over-heels in love with it's prehistoric beauty. It seriously reminds me of a scene right out of Jurassic Park. As much as I love always being put together, sometimes you gotta let your hair down and live a little..especially for a prolonged BFF date! I picked up these sick boots from the AW13 collection that just came out! - and i'm happy to report i'm never taking them off. I always fall for a new Zara boot every season due to chic reasons of wearability- this year being no different! Paired with my trust tennis skirt you've seen a million times and a fun crop top I picked up on the boardwalk in Venice.

Back in frigid NY, but the scenery is GORGEOUS this time of year!
Be expecting plenty of sunny posts while I get the rest of my LA/SF adventures out of the way.

French Persuasion

( ISABEL MARANT x H&M suit blazer, OAK crop top, All Saints skirt, Massimo Dutti boots)

It's officially time to kick off another collaboration with Swedish powerhouse, H&M. This time with one of my favorite French labels, Isabel Marant. Known for her feminine, pseudo hippie cool looks, this new collection embodies the spirit of her designs to a tee! I immediately fell in love with this oversized suit blazer with silk lapel. I love the ribbon tie option to give it a proper touch when necessary! Check back this week for more looks of mine featuring this latest collab!

I had so much fun at the pre-shopping launch party last night here in LA! They always know how to throw a lovely event! GET YOUR FAVORITES AT SELECT H&M STORES WORLDWIDE starting tomorrow, November 14th!

I'm headed back to NYC first thing in the morning. Rushing to pack for my flight, i'm never ready to leave the West coast! Back to reality..

Change of Season

( Zara sweater, AA skirt, Alexander Wang bag, Massimo Dutti boots, H&M Paris hat)

It's finally chilly enough in NY to break out the cozy knits and start layering again. Fall is a beautiful time in the city. Walks through Central Park, the changing of colors, everything pumpkin flavored, and I finally get to break out my amazing coat collection! I will always long for the days of mini skirts and sheer tops.. and those are definitely over -but I couldn't let go just yet. I'll be sure to commit to a skirt til my legs freeze off.

Enough said! While mixing pieces from different seasons, I stuck with simple black accessories and the biggest sweater I could find in my closet. This is a very basic look for me in comparison to my usual form of dressing, but there is something unexplainable about it that I just love. I'm currently packing for my next adventure to LA & SF. I leave in the morning and I can't wait to kiss the California sun again. Its only been 3 months - but thats far too long for me.

Chains & Things

( All Saints Lucille skirt, 3.1 Phillip Lim sunnies, Kelsi Dagger Chelsea bag, Bleu de Chanel parfum)

This is a quick compilation of some of my favorite fall items in my closet at the moment.

1. This buttery leather skirt in the richest shade of ox-blood is a great item for layering. I cant get enough of leather in the fall, which goes on to my next piece..

2. This chain mail bag is perfect for going out or just running errands around the city and surprisingly spacious.

3. I've been brightening my wardrobe with these new WHITE TORTOISE-SHELL shades..thank you Mr. Lim for always taking the accessory game to the next level - LOVE THESE

4. And last but not least a warm scent to keep me living through the cold months- you can always count on Chanel.

Off Duty Chic

(Topshop pinafore, Alexander Wang crop, bag, & pumps, H&M Paris hat)

You know that amazing grey area in between seasons on the East coast? Where it's not quite hot like the summer, nor a chilly autumn breeze..I've taken full advantage of this easy transition into the upcoming weathery months. I scored this amazing jumpsuit at the Topshop flash sale this week in SoHo. Paired it with a barely there cropped turtleneck and all black accessories to keep it flowing. Here's to giving Kate Moss circa 90's London a run for her money with this look!

UV Ray

(3.1 Phillip Lim sunglasses, Alexander Wang camisole)

Walking down 5th Avenue the other day and found this sick lit up display at the Nike store. It just so happens it was the perfect backdrop to shoot my new favorite shades. Always a fan of PL, and the white tortoise shell is untouchable in terms of style.

Columbus Circle

( Marni x H&M coat, Zara cami + skirt + pumps, 3.1 Phillip Lim runway bag, Ray Ban sunglasses)

Keeping it simple in black and white + a pop of color with my favorite Phillip Lim piece in my closet.

Perfect day to night outfit for the city!

Dead End

(Theory Daranda jumpsuit + Proenza Schouler clutch + Zara pumps + HofH sunglasses)

Sunday perusing in the Meatpacking District always gets me in trouble. After a lovely lunch at the new Gansevoort Hotel spot, The Chester - I popped into Theory to check out the latest collection. Although all the coats were beautiful and fall is on the rise...it was a warm day in the city! So my eyes immediately shifted left for the rows of silk numbers. The jumpsuit was a no brainer with effortless chic being my ideal style these days. The geometric print is a great mix with my graffiti clutch and white patent pumps. I think NY is finally influencing my daily dressing.

I definitely don't hate it!
